GreenHouse Build

Welcome to the Greenhouse/Hoop House build. We bought a 25x10x7 ft greenhouse from amazon, beefed it up to withstand our weather here in the foothills of the Ozarks in North Cental Arkansas. We did this all for a few pennies under $500.00.
Have you been wanting a greenhouse to be able to grow winter crops, or get your seeds started or House specialty plants, but can afford one of those big Grower Solutions High tunnels or greenhouses? I wish I could have one of those they are awesome, but reality is, it is just not in our budget here on the homestead. Plus, we really want to keep our homestead projects and builds to a very strict budget. One that everyone could afford in reality and stay debt free!

We really wanted a greenhouse to house our citrus and specialty trees and plants that we brought from Florida. I also wanted to grow in the greenhouse winter crops and experiment with growing some hybrids. I grow all heirloom plants in the garden.
We do have an oil radiator plugged in at nights when temperatures below 40 degrees.  We have gotten down to 21 degrees this year and the greenhouse was above freezing. I will also keep on hand frost cloths to protect if we are going to go to the teens and the heater will stay on. But if it's sunny during the day no, need it heats up into the 60s or 70s. This winter will be the test. I'm sure I will learn a lot and have to tweak some things but that is what it's all about.

This greenhouse provides plenty of space so do those all those things.  I will list what you need below.
  1. Amazon Greenhouse (this is the one I got)
Wooden frame- (6) 1x6x12 treated (4) 1x6x10 treated (1) roll of strapping (4) 2x4 for Cleats (8)1x2
A couple t-post or rebar cut for bracing inside structure.
Bracing- 5 2x6 3, bags of quickrete, nails or screws of your choice.
